A pianist in the grand manner who carries on the tradition of Anton and Nicholas Rubinstein, Emil Sauer, Ferruccio Busoni, Ignace Friedman, Leopold Godowsky and Alexander Michailowsky (all of whom taught her distinguished teachers, Vera Maurina Press and Jascha Fischerman), Rosario Andino was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, where she began her musical studies at age four. She graduated with highest honors from the Fischermann Conservatory in Havana and later – after having received a full scholarship there – from the Chatham Square Music School in New York City. She is an alumna –summa cum laude- of the St. George’s School (Havana) and of Hunter College (New York City).

TorQ, a Canadian percussion quartet, has performed to critical acclaim across Canada and in many collaborative events. These artists are invested in music education and are committed to making music accessible to a wide variety of audiences. TorQ presents over 70 school performances a year and have premiered numerous works for percussion quartet.
